As far as I'm concerned, 10psi with a stock fuel pump is just peachy keen. For some reason I don't have the lean conditions others experience on this forum. Got me as to why.
IMHO you have more to fear with the 200 degree plus intercooler intake temps with a stock intercooler (yeah, I know, flood the thing with fuel to overcome the temps....which I'll say is a bullshit way of overcoming the temps).

Or do It right and get a standalone EMS (latter point Is dependant on what you really want out of your FC).

Aww, I too believe in the hierarchy as you worded it. And I also believe in proper maintenence. But you are right not as many people out there do. Give you an example I HAVE a t4/t3 turbo. Have I installed it? NO! why? Cause everything else, ie: injectors, fuel managment, FMIC, isnt in place yet.

i actually ran 10psi on a large streetport (kevin landers porting) engine and was in the high 12's AFR's in the midrange. it WAS on a 90* day (and the ac was broke inside the dyno shop) with a starion FMIC and a walbro.
however my fuel filter has NEVER been changed in 180k miles so i think this could be a problem for my fuel situation...

my car feels damn strong at 10psi on this motor. it actually feels stronger then 15psi on the last motor. i guess thats the difference in great compression and poor compression. can't wait to get an SAFC and tune it some with some larger 2nd-aries.

Derek,
My TII has been running between 12-14psi with stock primaries and 680cc secondaries with a Walbro 255 and an SAFC since I've owned it. No problems to speak of what so ever. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

i'm a little confused by your post. i have changed the fuel filter about 4 months ago and i had my injectors professionally cleaned and balanced by RC Engineering 1 month ago. pretty much, like Zach said, if i get an SAFC and some larger 2nd-aries i'll be able to safely boost 12-14psi.
