Wait a minute...the front calipers can be either 2 or 4 piston but all the rears are two piston.

Yeah, I found that out after looking for a four piston rear caliper rebuild kit for about an hour and a half.

It's quite cheap and very easy to rebuild the rear calipers...even with a red face.

Haha, true. It's less daunting now that I know I don't need to do 4 pistons.

I've never seen a two piston caliper on an FC.

And you won't see a two piston caliper on an FC. Single piston or four piston in the front and always a single piston in the rear.

Other, more important things on your mind. All the long-timers let it pass.

Your posts have always been extremely
helpful, very well written, and entirely entertaining.

Do you mind if I ask what you did for your careers? Aside from building clocks, being on a motorcycle racing team, and smoking weed, I know little about you, and you seem pretty fascinating.

I can assure you that the fascination diminishes with proximity...ask either of my exes.

At various times I have also been a bartender, free lance graphic artist and a welding system fabricator.
I have a myriad of talents and completely lack the ability to monetize them.

I hope I didn't hurt your feels... I totally dig your style of car building. If it helps any, when you said 2 piston caliper it got me to thinking about machining my own custom 2 piston opposed rear calipers for my car.

Edit: And to the OP, I was embarrassed when I discovered that not all 5 lug FC's had 4 piston front calipers because I told all my car buddies they did... I had to go back and correct myself after seeing an '89 base model for the first time.
