I've been looking into getting a bucket seat for my driver side. I think i'm probably going to go with the Cobra Monaco Pro's ( https://www.andysautosport.com/produ...-5050-BLK.html ) since they seem good for the price and are FIA certified. I'm also 6 ft 2-3 in so I need them mounted fairly low.

My questions are, the seat should fit in an fc right? and since there are a lot of people advocating for different ways to mount bucket seats, does anyone have these? and how did you mount it?
Should I just look into cobra mounts? or can I somehow mount them to the stock rail? Any other recommendations welcome. I know this question has been asked in a couple threads but I can't find any good answers. Thanks!

 

So I've heard good positive reviews about Planted Seat Brackets (FC3S). They would allow you to use either Cobra or Planted's own side mount brackets They also tend to mount a lot lower to the floorboard than other mounts. The issue with the FC is trying to get the seat as low as possible. The FC tends to have an issue with mounting brackets sitting a little tall which causes problems. People end up hitting the headliner and A-pillar, especially with a helmet. So would recommend the side mount approach, I am currently using Corbeau bottom mount and I sit a little over my steering wheel.

If you aren't looking for sliding brackets. I would look into the Street Faction FC3S Side Mount Brackets. These look promising and don't require you to push and pull the bracket to fit the OEM mounting holes.

There are also " Nagaisa "Super Low" Rails which allow maneuverability but I haven't had experience with those. Maybe somebody from the community could chime in. People have also been known to use Bride Super Low brackets.

 

its not so much as the brackets as it is the seats itself. some seats are just thicker/higher and the other thing is the angle of the seat you are choosing

a flat style straight seat mounted on any of those brackets should'nt be any more of an issue then the factory seats.

Did you happen to end up trying the street faction brackets? I'm in the same situation, I didn't fit in the car at all when it had NRG reclineable seats with rails and cipher brackets so I bought 2 Corbeau FX1 Pro seats, now trying to mount them as low as possible

 

The FX1 Pros hit the A pillar trim if you're using the bottom mount sliders. I had to take then off to lower the seat more and even then i'm not content.

 

I probably won't be using sliders and definitely won't be using the bottom mounts, so hopefully it'll go low enough. I'm 5"11 with a long torso. And do you mean they hit the B pillar?

 

By A Pillar I was referring to the Plastic Trim that covers the automatic seatbelt rails. With a helmet on I hit the headliner and the seatbeat rail cover. I'm 5'9 btw and I'm using corbea seat bracket and bottom mounted.
