0 / 0 / 0 compression possible?

OK My friend's 89 Turbo II has had all the problems of a blown engine, no power, hard starts all that ****... so before we just blamed it on a blown engine we compression checked it, just to make sure... On the front rotor we got a consistant 110-120 on the gauge. We hooked it up to the rear rotor and not even a glitch. Nothing. Straight 0's on all 3 faces. Is this possible in one sweep? Or even possible at all? He didn't ride around on one rotor for more than 30 miles from where it was to home.

Thats exactly what my 89 TII is doing. Nice compression on all 3 faces on the front rotor, and the rear rotor is completely dead on compression. Someone here told me one of my apex seals probably crumbled, and took out at least another apex seal with it. I have yet to take my motor out and tear it down. If you find out its something besides the apex seal, please update here. i would be interested to know!

Yep, that'd be what happened. Don't worry about not getting any response on the comp tester.. most of the cheaper ones don't really work that accurately below 20 PSI or so in my experience.. they're not really calibrated there or something? Either way, you've popped a seal.

Start tearing it down.

Not only possible, normal for blown apex motors.
