I hate it when people complain about things, when it's the car's age that is the cause.
So here's my list:
-New parts are a bit costly.
-Vinyl tops rip when used alot.
-Cold solder joints
-People who say my car smells like oil/gas
-People who complain because my car is the anti-prius (ie. burns oil, has no cats, runs premix)
-Original Stereo eats CDs
-Seats weigh too much
-Wheels could be an inch or two bigger
-Steering wheel can't adjust up or down
-Fog lights in the USA are white not yellow
-Emissions
Besides that, I love my car.

Im a 3rd gen owner. I hope you guys don't mind if I chime in.
The only thing I hate about my car is gas consumption and not the fact that it consumes gas, more that I have to go fill up more often. If the car had a bigger tank it wouldnt bother me.
See the problem some of you have is that your looking at things the wrong way.
-Road vibrations and rough ride, no no my good friends, thats a feature. Its called ride feel. It just means the car is doing its best to communicate with you, the driver so that you may drive to and at the limit better. After all, which would you prefer, a numb driving experience where you feel disconnected and like your floating over some road like a video game or do you want to get the whole raw experience. A good car punishes you by puching your butt when you go over a pot hole. After all you deserve it. Your being a jerk.
-People hating on the rotary and lack of low end torque, no no no, that wont do. The rotary was made to be a fun engine. Anyone can drive a car with great low end torque, not everyone can drive an engine with no low end power. Next time someone tells you that rotaries suck, tell them they are wrong and that they just can't handle the lack of power down low. This should shut them up.
-Some mechanical unreliability, no no no those are just quirks of the car put there to make it stand out more and to teach us how to be men. Having a bulletproof engine would make the car standout less and only on its performance laurels. Not that unique. There are tons of cars out there that are fairly fast and reliable. How many are there that are fairly fast and unreliable? Not many my friends not many. Also, how much fun would it be wrenching on a bulletproof car. How many of you have had to stay up all night fixing your 7 so you could get to work on time the next day? I bet you learned alot that night and the following morning. Stop being so ungrateful for the lessons your car has imparted upon you, unable to be comprehended by lesser (wo)men. Sometimes you can't make it to work no matter how much time and effort you spend the night before. This is when the car teaches us the greatest lesson of all. The lesson of disappointment and life. Im sure alot of us on this forum are experts at disappointment. Thank you Mazda.
I like the fact that the car demands care and actually needs your attention. It makes me more attached to it. All I've driven in my life are dull sedans or luxery cars and it got boring. I bought my 7 and put alot of money into it because it made driving and owning a car a whole new experience for me. I like driving again and wouldn't trade the car for a viper. No thats a lie but I would only do the trade to sell the car and buy more 7s.
BTW I think SAs and FCs are cool.

lol. I also don't like how the camber is limited in the rear. It's a pain in the *** when I align it.
I need to get around to buying that camber kit RB or Mazdatrix sells.
I think fbs look really good with a GT style kit on it. Like this:

Most if not all of us here on RX7 club daily drive our RX-7's because that's all we care to drive. I personally do only drive RX-7's.
So a set of cup holders would be great. lol
The thing I hate the most is that most complaints in here are directed at the car, when its your own fault for not maintaining it.
Im not trying to be a dick, but if you cant get into your car because you broke your door handle 4 months ago, and your mad at the car because of it. Just don't be lazy and fix it.
Tis all.

I managed to snag a cool single din retractable cup holder out of a nissan, forget what model, but it works great for cans and small cups, do not under any circumstances try to WOT with a route 44 in there.
Stickiness ensued.

I hate how the shell is such good candidate for v8 and LS1 swaps.. then they hack apart the shell trash the rotary motor then when they realize they can't do it they try to sell a hacked up shell with NO parts.. and rusted to **** from sitting in their backyard for 3 yrs.. then when they can't sell it they scrap the shell so basically they took a perfectly good fc rx7, dumped the engine, cut it apart, let it rust, then trashed it.. that and the nasty burgundy interior!!
/endrant
Edit: I realize that was a HUGE run-on sentence with hardly no punctuation what-so-ever but i just needed to vent..thank you

I agree with everything you said except this...
Lack of low end is simply lack in low end. its not excusable but it can be overcome. I did. I wish all 7's had more low end. actually SA's have a good deal low end. mine did atleast
and yes FC's are hot sex(FD FTW...)

The FC has a somewhat flat torque curve, so once you hit around 3500 rpm it really won't change.
The only factory rotary motor that I know of that gets good torque at a lower rpm then that is the 20B Twin Turbo. It gets about 286 at 2200, with peak at again 3500.
J MurdaFCs3 is right. It can be over come, either with variable turbo, sequential turbos, supercharger, or a 3rd rotor lol.
all an all, the rotary is all RPM and HP in my opinion. lol
I also hate that the RX-7 is in a higher tier for insurance companies then the RX-8...
