What do you hate about the rx7?
as far as the kind of comments other car owners, public etc says about em.
I hate that perfectly good cars with neglected owners who ruin the motors, eventually people expect the cars to be cheap.. Non-running rx7s knock off a few grand on what the car could be listed for. Like you always see verts selling for like $700 because of bad motors, and while the rest of the car looks great.. sad to see that. A good condition TII could be selling for like 4k, but if its motor was blown, people wouldnt want to pay 1k for it.

The biggest thing is definetly what you mentioned. Our book value is low. Especially a non running engine.
I would say a solid price for our cars would be:
Mint condition t2: $8k us/cnd
Mint condition n/a: $6k us/cnd
Non running engine, depending on problem: $1k-$3k
The prices go down from there.
Currently in canada, we get about $6k for a t2 and about $4k for an n/a. A little bit better then the states. Then again, your dollar is also worth a hell of alot more right now.

^^^^^ I actually like the low roof line. Its funny watching my friends hit their heads on the roof, and my girlfriend is 5-2 anyway so it doesnt matter. It does suck that non running 7s go for 1k, but the trade off is that parts are cheaper. It does make sense though considering most people dont work on their car and it would cost 3 grand or so to pay somebody to get it up and running. It takes a special person to own a reliable fc.
I guess the only thing i hate (actually mildly dislike, but am still content with)is the shitass gas mileage and leaky injectors. Thats my fault for not putting my other tbi on and not swapping to my other 550s. It is just too cold now to even move. Ahhh yes........ i hate my se's stock suspension.

fds are a totally different ballpark, people are willing to spend money on those and are open minded towards modifications like coilovers, kits, wheels etc. fc people are cheap, complain about the price of wheels and parts etc.. Whenever i go into the fd section of this form, its hard not to drool... lol

You think the value is low? Sold my 1990 GTU / TII conversion for 4900. The Audi I bought is a 99.5 (facelift car makes it more valuable still) A4 and I payed 4600 for it. Audi's have a LOW book value. RX-7's are fairly healthy value for the age.

"half-assed" with many corners cut... then broken and the owner complains about the reliability of a rotary, or how their $500 coilovers suck. I actually like that I can find GOOD parts for my FC at reasonable prices and there is a wide variety of proven parts on the market to choose from. My only complaint about my FC is the electrical issues, wipers, 3800 hes, ect. Other then that I love it.

Yeah good call about the fd. It does kinda suck how a clean 91 turbo goes for 4-6 grand and the next years clean fd goes for 14-16 grand. Fds are bad *** though. Look at me hatin a little, i love my fc. I guess its the same thing with the supra though, 91 7mgte vs mkiv 2jzgte one. Also with the 300zx too, but not as bad.

The fact that has a rotary engine? lol jk
*i dont like gas mileage
*the fact that they are not Reliable unless if you do some work to it.
(other cars are just reliable and a tank with out having to do anything to them)
*The fact that they Dont have rear seats, well some do but theres literly 1 1/2 inches of leg space.
and
*Their value is crap ( and engine parts are pricey).

As long as they're willing to learn and make an honest attempt to learn (and search, god damn it!!) I don't mind, but when people don't know anything about it and come on here and ask every tiny question they can think of and still end up breaking stuff, that is annoying. Honestly, an RX7 is not a car you just decide to buy out of nowhere. You need to know what it's all about and what you're getting into, I think anyone buying an RX7 should research common problems and fixes before buying one. Jeez, I lurked on RX7club for almost 2 years before I bought my FC.
