Video of my new non-muffled NA...

Don't start laughing your *** off just yet, because astonishingly, it doesn't sound bad, nor is it any louder than the RB systems I have heard.

I had 2.25 in. pipes welded in from the y pipe, but fully open exhaust is only temporary. I do not have an idea on what muffler setup I want to run yet so I had them mandrel bend and weld in pipe for the moment.

I may buy a silencer to sit where my pre-cat used to be and continue running straight out of the back, or I am also contemplating welding up and constructing my own ceramic fiber packed mufflers. If ceramic fiber is too expensive (I haven't checked yet) I may just use steel wool, but I need to check the ignition temp of steel wool first.

Anyway, for the crappy cell phone video...

Cool, how loud is it? We ran an open header once, and that could make ears bleed

It isn't that loud really, like I said, not any louder than any of the RB systems I have heard.

That actually sounds really good. It's not super loud, but it doesn't sound like complete poop like the stock exhaust. I did opposite of you and put a RB replica header and straight pipe to stock cat back. It sounded good but was loud as hell. I don't know if you can hear it in the background, but the radio is turned almost to max volume. In neighborhoods, If I took it above 3k rpm, it was almost a guaranteed middle finger from anyone in their front yard. 1st to 2nd shift is at 8.5k, let off in 2nd at 8.

Do you have the stock cats still in? Those quiet the exhaust down a lot.

The pre-cat (S5 verts only have one pre-cat) was replaced with straight pipe, but I do have the stock main cat.
