They are safe to run. You can get them for around 17 each on amazon or 40 plus each at the dealer. They are iridium tipped and supposedly don't foul easily.

they are a different design, instead of surface discharge like the stock plugs they are an air gap type, like a normal piston engine. or if you prefer the Rx8 plugs are like the racing plugs except in a normal heat range.

the performance benefit is that the Rx8 plug is less prone to misfires than the stock plug

Anybody else running these? I wonder if the electrodes are prone to breaking or not? Any benefit to running them? I don't see it being to much of a difference than running regualr 9's at less than half the cost. Maybe later on I might try a pair on the dyno in the leading holes to see if there is a difference.

All of the race plugs from NGK, Greddy, etc use the same style electrode. I've not used 8 plugs personally, but I have used race plugs with no issues.

every Rx8 owner runs them... they don't break. i've tried them on a bunch of different Rx7's. i don't know that peak power would be different, but it runs much smoother in the low rpm range, and you could probably take some fuel out there are well.

in a turbo car Rx8 leadings and race trailings would be good on the street.

In my built Fb I would foul the stock FC plugs in less than 3k miles. The Rx8 plugs saw over 10k in my FB and are now in my FC. That's how much better they are... I only run the leading, as trailing are a waste of money. direct sawp.

buy two Rx8 leading plugs, and two FC trailing plugs. put the Rx8 plugs in the leading spot, the Rx7 plugs in the trailing spot and enjoy

Is it ok to mix Iridium plugs with non Iridium plugs because I was thinking on using these for the fc trailing side

why bother spending $100-125 for plugs that are going to do essentially the same job as the $30 plugs?

I'm planning to change my plugs and wires once I get the fuel pump wired up and turn up the boost. I'm shooting for the 375-400whp range at around 15psi, so what leading and trailing plugs would be the best choice?

if its a street car you should run either 11's all the way around, or 11's in the trailing and 9's in the leading.

why would you bother with those? in a stock port the trailing doesn't do much, just leave it stock
