Actually that pull was in 3rd gear and I have since got it figured out where I can get a good 4th gear pull which should be somewhere around 700 RWHP. Will find out this Spring!
Is pretty wicked on the streets, especially in the Winter when the tires and road are cold. I can punch it in 3rd gear and start sliding.

I love the color tone of the whole car. Never paint it. Infact. repaint it... repaint every panel/stripping its original color.

I believe you're trolling LOOK MAN! it's hard to collect/buy new body parts in an area where all the FC's are trashed. I go to buy a "new" bumper, dented, missing mounting pieces, and spray painted. I try to buy a "new" fender, it's rolled, rusty, and has holes drilled in it from the PO :/

i've been searching for new fenders, and bumpers so i can finish this thing and get it painted. and the main reason i'm painting it, it so I can stop hearing "sweet ride, when you gonna paint it?" If I didn't hear this so much, this car would be multi-colored for the rest of it's happy life, and the money would go to more important things.

Well... I still like it... I used to be INLOVEEEEEEEEEE with battlecats FD... after he painted it, I still loved it... but it definitely lost something that made me want to stare at it.
I wish someone would do a proper "Harlequin" styled car, but with more grays/light browns/whites/monotones

(Hood and cage really help your color scheme seem believable.)

There are a bunch on ebay right now. Getting ready to buy another set for my Vert. Most of the ones on ebay are going for $290 shipped, not a bad deal IMO. I think the stock S5 TII "body kit" makes any S5 look "just right". Adding a rear half bumper or the side caps adds just that much more subtle look to it.

I removed the ABS pump, ABS CPU, and all wiring, lines, and sensors. Used a non turbo donor car for the new lines, bought a new non-turbo master cylinder, and removed the ABS bulb from the idiot cluster.

I kinda overlooked this question... AFAIK, the ABS on our cars is more or less about as serious as our water temp gauge, and fails often.
Im actually glad my car does not have ABS. One less thing I honestly do not have to worry about breaking. Ive never fully had a non ABS car until the rx7, and its nice... Like a big go kart, literally. you can slide and skid to your hearts desire.

Your tires wont like it, so you have to really understand the concept of proper braking at the threshold point, but the rx7 (to me) feels very forgiving before you hit that point.

(Granted I have MUCH wider tires than stock, but only once in a TRUE emergency situation did I lock up into a controlled skid. Taught me a lot about the locking point, i did a text book example of what NOT to do, but I had no choice in the situation at hand. I wanted to STOP... which actually made me stop slower cause I was skidding... I was doing 40, and someone decided to pull out RIGHT in front of me, and proceed to park, waiting for a clear spot to move to the next lane... ******* cuntstick.... ah tell yew whut. going from 40 to 0 in 3 seconds can really make your butthole pucker. I knew I was going to be safe the whole time, but the tires are still feeling the effects of that skid though... derp.)

not how, why? not to sound like a dick but its hard to believe you can brake better than a (working) ABS system. unless youre into that kind of thing

I understand, but to me there's nothing better than that unfinished project look.

I think when I do paint it, I'm going to take a freshly painted fender off, and put a sanded/bondo'd one on just for that look

and don't get me confused with the stupid *** trendy honda kids either. I hate that look. unfinished project look, not trendy fanboy look.

As I said. Our cars have some of the most problematic ABS systems. ever. (Also the weight you lose... thats also why people remove all the equipment. If Bill removed it cause of weight, then he probably understands how to properly brake, and the following is just a sidestory to his reason of removing it.)

If your ABS system is wonky, You dont want to brake expecting ABS, then it fails, thus leading you into a situation where you are now in a "non-ABS" car. I have also heard of peoples (rx7s) ABS kicking in while just driving down the street. thats NOT fun.
Much more unsafe than a non-ABS car from the get-go. (Do you understand now why its better to fully convert to a non-ABS car, for rx7s at least?)

learning to control a ABS car as if you DONT have it, is much safer... ALWAYS. I also enjoy ABS on slick roads, but its all about learning proper braking threshold. Ive done some hairy things in the rain with non ABS and been safe. Back to ABS vs NON-ABS though.

The reason WHY ABS in general is good, is because common people MASH on the brake pedal, effectively locking up the tires JUST LIKE a non-ABS. The difference is ABS reacts so fast to this, that it protects you by going in and out of a "skid" *THUS* you stop sooner than if you were just sliding.

*NOW* if you properly understand your car, and can squeeze your brakes at the VERY POINT of locking up, your going to break the BEST possible. No skids, just pure meaty stopping power. This type of driving style is the PROPER way to brake, ABS or not. General public cant understand this concept, so welcome the invention of ABS.

All I can tell you is the ABS on our cars is faulty crap, and I much rather have OUR CARS in a non-abs version. Thats how I want to drive an rx7...
(Going back to my above post, thats WHY I locked into a skid. I never owned a non-ABS car, and I braked as if I had it. That was my only mistake, treating the car like an ABS, and thats WHY I ended up skidding. I needed a lightbulb. Now I drive the car differently.)

Beach... Dont paint.
