Really? I'm a big fan of 5 spoke wheels and loved the bronze over the chrome/silver color. Did you have the cobra reps temporary because they're cheap?

I used to have one... Bought it from a "friend" who assured me the thing was rock solid minus a few things...

*Radio sucked/didnt work
*Transmission scratched
*Rear end clunked (Common problem and a TOTAL bitch to fix since the OEM parts are no longer available... Everyone made their own polyurethane from tin foil molds...)
*Front suspension was shot and creaked to ****
*Hatch turned into a fish tank on rainy seasons
*No AC
*Final kicker was the turbo (rebuilt by that shithole place turbochargers.com) took a **** and dumped all my oil into the exhaust. Car caught on fire... (I had a fire extinguisher from my early class days of RX7 101)


Did I mention there is almost NO... no wait, there IS NOT ANY aftermarket support... AT ALL. Not even OEM stuff. And its a bitch to try and make over 250-300hp on these things.



That was the only car I ever lost money when I sold it. That was 8 years ago. **** that car.

I want one of those civics very bad. I love old hatches, first Gen civic, first Gen gti, early minis. I'd love to have one of each in my garage in the future.

 

That is pretty ******* crazy, because I'm going to be helping my girl build a Celica, the generation after yours though. For some reason, they just seem like girl cars to me. I think my fc, and her celica will have alot of fun together.

Thank you very much, I appreciate it. I really want to build a widebody/kitted/huge wing FC, but I think I will take the simple road with this car. I just dont have it in me to mess it up too terribly much... Ive wanted this exact car forever... Just feel like leaving it mostly alone.

Yea, mirror cracked off plastic and hangs out... I have new ones at home that need to be painted... Ive decided to get off my butt and get them painted next week, as well as get a bunch of paintless dent removal work done.... Should be a total of $150. Perks to working at a dealership.

Hi, honestly I have put less than 2,500 miles on it since I bought it, less than 5,000 miles on the new engine total, and will be moving in the next year so need to slim down the fleet. I really like the car, that's the reason I have kept it and continued to work on it over the years. But I need to be realistic and set some limits for the future. I am trying to keep it since I have soo much time and money into it and haven't really gotten to enjoy it on the road much in between all the work I have done to it and my crazy work schedule. We'll see what happens in the next few months.

Thanks guys, I welded a new custom exhaust after I finished the new paintjob. I redid the catback with a better y pipe and some new "Tsudo" mufflers, yes they are cheap but they look perfect to me and sound good to boot, nice deep tone.
