I understand the smoother the process the smoother the topcoat, I have been painting since 1995 and I own my shop.
What I dont understand is that unless you break through you have no idea how much material is on there.

Now logic can kick in and say "hey I sanded the ***** off this thing, it was pretty rough- there cant be too much material left maybe I should just re-shoot it"
