Clokker , I dig your intake setup . I see you taking advantage of aerodynamics and air flow across the chassis . The upper radiator tray is nice also .

Not into the cabin, no.
It's pulling from the cavity below the windshield that houses the wiper linkage and cabin air intake. My read of the infamous airflow diagram of the FC shows this is a high pressure zone and potentially could help cram air into the intake. It probably doesn't at any speeds my car might reach but it is at least fresher, cooler intake air than she was getting before.
I'm actually surprised at how unnoticeable the new intake is. At every stage I expected some sort of weirdness to pop up (a stumble at a certain RPM or something) but it never happened. With the cabin air set to fresh instead of recycle, I think I can hear intake whoosh but if so, it's not horrible.
After she racks up some more miles and I become convinced the new intake isn't hurting anything, there are a few detail changes I'd like to make.
-The airpump feed could/should come from the airbox, just like stock and in fact, I'm wondering if the ACV dump couldn't go in there too.
-Maybe make the intake between the firewall and airbox bigger. The boot I'm using is way larger than the holes at either end and I could machine some flanges to increase the size and make it prettier. The firewall flange would have a relatively coarse screen to keep large chunks from entering the box.

As for the rest of it, all the extra threaded holes in the bay came in very handy. I didn't have to drill any extra holes (except in the firewall for the intake) and the whole bay could go back to stock without leaving trace of my fiddling.

ahh yes. i am exactly the same way. i like to be able to remove anything added to the vehicle without leaving a trace. very nice work, my friend. keep up the good work

edit: just noticed, but what is the tank used for that sits between the airbox and the intake?
