oh well, you live and learn right?
that 5 point harness saved my ***, ill tell you that much.
the unibody is bent, blew my front illumina, destroyed BOTH endlinks, dtss eliminator torn in half, hub assembly torn in half, wheels and tires toast, and control arm bent.
hm, anything else? just check the pics."

"**** happens right? i walked away with a tiny scratch on my face from the damned A pillar trim piece falling."

Oh boy!! This is the thread for me!!

My pride was severely bruised and suffered internal bleeding. Oh, and I scratched my left foot on the clutch pedal because I was driving barefooted. This was the first time I drove it after I finally replaced my OMP and did a full tune-up. My OMP had been bad since I bought the car. About 9 months of fighting with limp mode, finally get it fixed, and a good little, "ooops."

BUT, after getting towed to the towing company, sitting for 8 days, being bought by a friend, and getting towed to my house that night to get the key, it cranked right up first try with the same battery. No broken suspension, nothing wrong with it but the body. And my battery had never been strapped down since I bought the car.

You like that totally free exhaust? 3inches from the manifold back. I know the cans are ugly, but they were LOUD!! I love loud.

Here's my 86'
I blacked-out while driving and woke up in the hospital...

I have a 16'' scar, 10 screws and a metal plate on my hip to remind me...but I'm "back to normal" now.

nice! we can be screw and metal plate buddies, your pics totally brought me back to my s14, atleast your damage wasnt a direct hit to driver, you would have far more screws and metal plates on your body if you did..like me!

Hyper, you can see the roll bar in the first picture, lol.

DSMRX7, Did you actually black out before the wreck or can you just not remember it? That happens to a LOT of people in bad wrecks. They are perfectly aware through the wreck (until the cause of the hospital trip), but when they wake up afterwards, they can't remember anything before the wreck either. Your brain will block out memories. Especially ones that invoke immense fear, shock, pain, and others. Just like my brain blocked out a lot of my memories from my wreck. Right after my wreck, I told my mom the story and 2 weeks later I can't remember the details. I never got knocked out though. My brain just made me forget it. Anyway, that was pretty off topic I suppose. That was a couple horrible wrecks though, glad to see that you two are alive after those.

you guys are very lucky.

I need to count my blessings that I have never experienced a bad accident... recently about a month or 2 ago my friend was in a accident involving a drunk driver going the wrong way on the freeway at night wiht no lights on.. hit his truck dead on, his gf died.. friend had a broken arm and leg..

what, no story?
looks like a racing accident, judging by the wheel and tire combo.

This is a friend of mines.
The driver walked away with only a seat belt bruise, the passenger ruptured his spleen and broke his arm. He was in the hospital for a few days. Glad to say they are both fine now except for a bad memory and a bad scar.

Arrow

The silver one was my '91, I was driving to my girls house when this ******* looked me right in my face and decided to run the stop sign anyway. He chickened out half way and stopped riht infront of me, it was a little wet out so I couldnt stop in time

The blue one happened last saturday on my way to work. I was simply driving at a reasonable speed when the passenger rear tire blew out and the rear snapped to the left. The rear grazed the divider then the car flew across 3 lanes and hit the wall on the other side of the road head on. The car continued to rotate and the rear hit this wall too before coming to a stop facing the correct direction. Thankfully me and a friend walked out with just bruises.

I also have a pic of my '89 gxl that I cut the front off in order to pull the engine/trans. Its a pic of the scrap guy picking it up.

What's the deal with everyone obliterating their GTU? It seams like a trend.
