Mustang Rims on the FC

I found the thread in the archive, but the pics don't work anymore...could anyone post pics of the rims they were talking about on the FC? or just the rims themselves?

I especially like the way the center sculpting of each spoke matches the body beltline. I'd be interested in size/weight info too.

Wow, those look really really good... I'm halfway interested in buying some now. :x

Direct fit? No spacers or anything?

The 17x8's are 30 or 32mm offset and they fit perfectly (although the stock Mustang tires won't). I've heard the 17lbs for the GT wheels several times, but mine were closer to 20lbs, still, not bad for a cheap, readily available, strong and durable wheel of that size. They fit without spacers, but longer studs are recommended, as the stock ones don't give quite enough thread engagement to be safe (the wheel hub is thicker on the mustang wheels). The ARP studs for the camaro, firebird, corvette (12mmx1.5) will fit perfectly. I really like my 17x8 GT wheels, they make the car look so much better, and fill out the wheel wells nicely.

why? mustangs are just as much an import as an fc........ they may be put together here, but the parts are all made out of the country! and they are inexpensive 17's, id tell them to go hump a dead moose

Does anyone know how to match tire sizes to rim sizes? I'll never know why tire and wheel manufacturers don't just put aside their differences and use the same damn scale. Like I need to know what size to put on my Turbo II so that the overall tire diameter is the same as stock because I dont know how to recalibrate the speedometer. Info on that would be good too, by the way. Also what is offset?

I got mine for $345 (including shipping, somehow the guy shipped for $45), with used tires on them. They're 245 width, they'll rub up front on hard cornering.

Yeah, I always get that, "no way, those are mustang rims??" usually from domestic car owners. People also act surprised that my auto-x wheels are from a Toyota Camry (15" BBS, gold, w/ falken azenis...cheap, look good, fit good). No pics though.

I really like the way these look too... I've been drooling over TII-aholics car with those rims in black... I still can't decide if I like them in silver, black, or gold/bronze for my black car(some one has a black car with gold/bronze mustang rims floating around here some where... or maybe I'm just imagining it..) But has any one tried these other mustang rims? One set is off a late 90s GT I believe and the other is a recent cobra rim.. any one rocking either of these rims on their FC? One more question... is the center cap for the 5 spoke GT rims in all the previous pictures plastic?

Edit... are all the cars in the pictures lowered? any one have pictures of mustang rims and stock ride height?

My center caps were plastic. I'm really not sure if I dropped my ride height, but I do have the KYB AGXs and the Eibach pro kit.
