Interior Paint

I have blue interior i am interested in either swapping it to grey or black, however i know people paint there interior, i just dont want the cheap honda kids looking stuff has anyone done this to their interior which would include all plastic peices except the trip peices that are already black, does any one have pictuces? also is there anyway to dye the carpet and seats if i take them apart and have it turn out nice?

i have never seen an interior paint job come out well. gray is easy to come by and shouldnt be nearly as expensive as black

its not that i didnt mind the blue interior but a local gutter backed up and my car happened to be rigt next to it and it flooded with water up to 17 inches and some things need to be replaced just figured i would do something differnt then blue but if theres no good stories about painting it i just may start buying black or grey peices and for ever black peice i use to replace for blue then elite you can have first dibs, what all are you lookin for. its really only the carpet and seats that got affected from flood

you can paint it but it takes some work. you have to get all those years of protectants out of the vinal and use an addhesion prompter and duplicolor vinal/fabir spray paint.

You CAN dye carpet and all cloth black and have it turn out great, my pop did that in an s10. Seats you can prob find in a junk yard or step up to leather from leatherseats.com or ebay. Panels you can wrap in black vinyl from joannes fabric.

dash might be interesting though.

you can get away with a nice clean job for cheapish.

do not paint it

many years ago I changed the color of the interior of my cutlass, I took my time and followed directions to the letter, it held up great for the 2 years I had it that way.
Then the car got stolen so I cant give you any updates from that point on.

I just did the plastic, not the carpet- carpet I removed- bigggg mistake.
Headliner I installed a new one.

my brother does it to all his cars. it comes out looking like it came straight from the factory! if you take the time and do it right, its well worth it.

Use duplicolor vinyl dye on the vinyl parts. I haven't used the vinyl dye on car interior, but I've used it on someother stuff not car related and its application is really easy and looks good.
