That's why you're supposed to be paying attention. Why couldn't you avoid the accident?

The damage looks like your rear-ended something, instead of hitting the side of a car.

What's the full story?

Looks like the chic pulled in front of him with an SUV/truck and he smashed into the rear bumper. I hope she accepts blame or the insurance companies will stick it to you since the person in front is always assumed to be the victim. If it does go your way, don't let the claims adjuster retards try to tell you your only choice is to consider it totaled.

That's pretty ignorant. U don't know the how the accident unfolded ... maybe it was unavoidable regardless of how well he was paying attention.

No it's not ignorance, it's called defensive driving.

I couldn't tell you how many time I have been cut off, around town, on the highway, in parking lots....but I've never creamed the car in front of me, you know why? Cause I was watching out for morons not paying attention.

And I asked why he couldn't avoid it, still waiting for an answer. It's a shame regardless of how it happens, that looks like it was a nice FC.

It's actually called "an accident". As in unintentional, and no plan of doing it.

Good for you, I'm sure you'll never ever be in an accident. Lord knows that the most elite skills are what prevent other people from ruining your day. I can't ever think of a situation where your own driving ability could be trumped by an idiot on the road................

Honestly, i kinda agree with greenbud. I mean, with the rx-7 were so low, that nobody ever sees us. I get cut off all the time, pulled out in front of, I mean everything. It kinda makes it hard to have faith in humanity, seeing how retarded half the world drives. So pay attenton, assume some dumb bitch is gonna cut off. There are alot of cases where there is nothing you can do (I was takin a left turn on a green turn light, and ended up in the left lane of a four lane road, and some stupid, super hot, blonde in a miniskirt, took a right turn and crossed four lanes into the side of my baby, couldn't see her til I was spinnin around) but if the front hits, there was always somethin you can do. Especially if ur doin the speed limit, like if u were only goin 35, our cars can stop in what 15, maybe 20ft! Seein someone come out in the road, should give you enough time to react. Happened to me less than 4 days ago, old lady in a saturn, looked left, not right and just went! At 30mph, i really had nothin to worry about. Don't drive aggressive on public roads when people are everywhere. If I was drivin all crazy I prob. would've crashed like 10 times due to morons. Save that **** for the track, or late night mountain runs, or parking lots, or uncrowded back roads, etc.

Sorry to see though, looked like a real nice TII! Don't get a new car, that statements just retarded. Wanna see the conversion, keep us posted!

Listen, I'm not saying that it was his fault for not avoiding the collision. I'm just wondering why he couldn't avoid it, was it on a crowded road way, just not enough distance (too much speed) to stop?? Thats looks like more than a fender bender

And all I really meant by any of my comments was that we should all drive as if others are aiming for us. I had a grey GXL that was backed into three different times in parking lots because people just didn't see it.

Good luck with the repairs man, keep us posted on the FC2000 conversion.

Sure, proactive driving should be practiced. But if you're ever in an accident (there's that key word again....) its going to have nothing to do with it. That's why the word exists in the english language. If it were avoidable, the car would still be fine.

Only people who've never been involved in an accident would presume that type of **** is preventable. Look at sureshot's beautiful S5 TII. Great driver, great and capable car - but got into an accident. Same type of damage also, straight front end hit......was completely unavoidable.

I just know from dealing with people after crashes that the last thing you want to hear is "man, you mean you couldn't avoid that?" because it implies numerous shortcomings of the person and appears that you're elevating yourself above them.

Well, I agree that most people don't want to hear about how they could of or should have avoided a collision. But in hindsight it might be worthwhile to ask yourself what went wrong.

And I never said I have never been in an accident, never meant to elevate myself, I simply stated that on the multiple occasion that I have been cutoff I was always able to avoid it. I have always try to guard the brake pedal when I'm in heavy traffic, I just assume that most people are idiots and are going to do something unsafe in traffic. So I keep my distance and be on the look out.

ok so here it is, yes it was shadow sevens old car. and heres how it went down i was driving stait and she was supposed to yield to turn left across my lane but instead of yielding she just turned left right into the path of my car at the last second, she got t boned and the front of my car got crushed under the side of her nissan exterra. yes it was unavoidable, if i had enough time to slam my four pison calipers, drilled slotted rotors with brand new brake pads i would have.

I think people have it out for us. Seriously though... Hummers and Suburbans pull out without looking all the time. Damn cell phones and soccer games to go to...

It doesn't matter if your paying attention. If they pull in front of you and your doing 40MPH with 20 feet to stop, it ain't happening. You'll lock up and slide right into them.

Option 2 :: swerve head first into oncoming traffic to try to avoid impact and double the damage.

well i had maybe five feet to stop from how soon she pulled in front of me and i was going 30, yes there was a little frame damage which is going to cost an arm and a leg to fix, no way is my insurance is going to say an fc is worth what i payed for it. so i am going to have to dig deep in my broke *** pockets and take a kick in the nuts to fix it. in the end...........worth it all. hahah. really love my car like a child or something of that value. lol.
