Redoing a fair amount on my cart over the winter. Pulled the 6 speed and put in an automatic, cut out the spare tire well to build a tubular mount for a transmission cooler and a larger fuel pump (I have a Magnafuel 4303 on a sumped tank) since I'm converting to E85.

Also redoing the return lines on the fuel system (stepping up from -6 to -8 return, already had -10 feed). I also got rid of every hose clamped fluid line on the car, so everything is AN fittings now. Interior came out for a full FatMat/Quietcar installation, doors, floors, sides, firewall, everything is now coated up.l

Next up was a new stereo (nothing amazing just one that actually functions, LOL).

Finally (and the only thing I have pictures of currently) I cut out all the front radiator area and am finishing up a tubular layout for the radiator/intercooler/hood mounts, as well as my relocated fuse block (engine bay is wire tucked).

After that, I have a bit of body work to get touched up, and I should be ready to roll for the coming season.

my first time painting!!!
Nice job on the paint mperformance its pretty good work considering your first time which makes me feel better for when I start painting my engine bay. Did you rattle can that or did you buy paint and do it through a gravity feeder paint sprayer?

As far as for my rebuild I am at the very early stages of the rebuild process trying to find the right kits and mods that I want to do for the rebuild so that when the engine is out I can just do some of the mods there while I have the engine out anyway. Kinda like a kill two birds with one stone approach

Waiting for the weather to get over 50... still going to be a while here in NY. Gathering parts slowly but surely. Going to be redoing hoses and throttle body. Looking to make a functioning, stock warm up system! Most people rip this stuff off, but I want an easy starting and drivable car. Then after that I need a new wastegate... then a tune... then have to redo all the suspension... then... THEN!!!

I'm mid-rebuild. Took me some time to locate a good housing, rotor and turbo, then it got too cold. It's warmed up and I came out of hybernation....finished making the engine pretty last week. Gonna order all the seals, gaskets, etc in the next few days to week. Picked up an ACT HD clutch kit. Sending the ECU to Rtek.

Pic from last summer....got a replacement housing and it's now painted....oh and over the winter I changed the front cover to copper.

Did the UIM and LIM copper also

I've also got some parts waiting for paint. TII skirts, Odula/Odura lip, MS scoop...oh and need to paint match the S4 hood for my S5 vert...but I still need to decide a few other things before paint happens.

Good to hear that you've got things rolling on your rebuild, haha.
I remember talking to you a long time ago about buying an engine from you.
