Ok so I know Hypertek is doing it, some other folks are doing it...

well here is my little sad and awesome story, so I blew up my first turbo block about 2 weeks ago. Got a nice intake compression tube and re did some piping. I was planning to go to the dyno to tune the car, but stupid me took the car for a ride to try to do a street tune with my megasquirt and to make the story short I started playing against some Harleys and some other cars close to my house and pop there she went. Lost compression on rear rotor, 13s for A-F while boosting 10.5psi , ouch!!!

Ok so I will be posting pictures of the rebuild and yes I am also painting the engine bay and redoing all the wiring.

is it deja vu or everybody here is doing the same???

I have a nice budget and will be getting some nice coil overs, rollcage...the works!!! stay tuned!

My car is in fantastic condition. Not.

I'm doing a pretty thorough restoration. It needed it.

Considering the fender is just hanging there, I don't think it's all that bad, lol. The best storage spot for it happened to be back on the car.

Jerry at least your engine is ok right? I have to pull mine out tomorrow and see what the damage is... but I have my hopes up, I think it's a crack apex seal only and no damage to housing or bearings... I hope.

Check my Sig.

New Interior parts, new turbo, Wideband, Rtek2.0, complete rebuild of the rear subframe. I have probably about 3k going into it before the summer.

It should be. It last ran regularly in July of 2009. I had it started for about 30 seconds last April before it stalled and I couldn't get it to restart. Told myself it was most likely flooded and commenced the destruction. So, I'm not rebuilding the engine, which seemed to be what the OP was after, but I am "rebuilding my FC3S", as the thread title states.

Nope. Do I need to? Yup.

Bought it with 60psi all round. Seller said that 100psi is for na. 60psi for turbo is good. Well, from my searching here on rx7club, it seems as if he lied. It doesn't matter. I'd rather rebuild and be driving around on an engine I know is legit.

Main focus is on rebuilding the car, will worry about building the motor for it some other year.
