the end of a saga (totalled my car)

well, this is what happens when you get cocky around a corner, try to countersteer and leave your foot on the accelerator. idiot me, i could have avoided the damn median, had i put my foot on the brake.
oh well, you live and learn right?
that 5 point harness saved my ***, ill tell you that much.
the unibody is bent, blew my front illumina, destroyed BOTH endlinks, dtss eliminator torn in half, hub assembly torn in half, wheels and tires toast, and control arm bent.
hm, anything else? just check the pics.

**** happens right? i walked away with a tiny scratch on my face from the damned A pillar trim piece falling.

peace

Bending up your suspension is not totaling your car.

Get the parts from a junk yard, and get a quote on straitening the body.

Is it me or that mostly superficial, replacable parts?

straightening + you replacing whatever parts that are torn up and that car will be right as rain

But yeah, you're probably right that financially, it's most likely totalled.

Ouchy... That looks like it hurt a little... Drifting FTL.. :-(
Sorry man... that sucks. It was a gtu too...
Looks as though there is frame damage from teh ripples on the roof... part it out and get another... it would probably be repairable with enough time and money...

get an entire rear subframe, arm, diff hubs etc. If i this had been posted a month ago i would have had most everything you need. Get it fixed, the body is fixable too, not easily but it is.

I'll take those mirrors, s5 tails, and front bumper please . Just kidding. I guess you could fix all that, but personally I'd part it out. It looks like the impact bent the roof section, like where that spot in the passenger side of the roof is. Was that already there? And what about the door? Did it bend that and the frame around that too? Sorry for your loss. It happens to all of us...

hey driftwerks, crawl under a rock and die.
no, the car is being chopped up and im using that shell that i had listed. my friend has a body shop out in san mateo that she could probably straighten out for me, but im too lazy to haul it out there.
so, i have some s4 taillights for sell, and ill have a whole part out asap.

Are you in Concord/Walnut Creek? I was driving past you at a stop light in walnut creek in my black civic hatchback a few weeks ago. I was going to give you a thumbs up but you revved at me when I drove by.
Sucks about the car though!

i know its fixable, the subframe in the back is bent, the lateral link is like...........jesus.
anyways, the front unibody is bent, i understand its fixable, im not going to try.
i have a spare shell sitting on the side of the house, straight as an arrow, and the fenders arent fucked up :p.
besides a small ripple in the rear by the lights, its perfect.
and its a t2, power everything, so it will be easy. plus, i can chop up this car to get to stuff now. haha
basically, im not terribly distraught about this whole ordeal, i just need to not rely on 1 car, back to the Z project.
anyone know how to make an aluminum dash without a welder?
and yes, i do live in concord, all my friends are in WC, so im around alot.

oh, and i wasnt drifting, just taking a turn as fast as i normally do, i had just woken up.

peace
