To anyone saying its fixable, please.

Look at the kink in the roof and the door gaps. There's no person in their right mind who would dump 2500 into LABOUR to straighten it + repair and refinish time. All to end up with a hacked, still not original shell. Please, think about it.

Buy another shell, transfer whats useable or simply part out and move along. Sucks to have happen, I see it all the time.

Best of luck!

didn't even notice the roof. It just looked like suspension damage. How fast were you going? I would like to see pics of how you killed your 7 (the road and all)

i wasnt trying to drift, took a corner that ive taken about 1000 times at about 50 or so, i had just taken that corner the night before at almost 60. hit the pot hole that i know was there, i hadnt had time to get the alignment done and fix the oversteer, skidded one way, countersteered, left my foot on the gas (thats why i killed it) skidded across 3 lanes of road, ended up facing the direction that i was going, on the other side of the median in the turn lane.
avoided the pole 1 foot in front of my car, didnt hit anybody or anything. all damage was to my car.
i took the turn that fast because there was no traffic, the road was clear because of the red light.
i wasnt freaking drifting. i guess i can take some pictures of the road tomarrow or something.

peace

i got a shell on the side of the house that im just gunna swap everything into. that one that i was selling. its a t2, so ill have power options now. think im gunna keep the t2 ecu when i turbo my car, idk. but, im gunna swap in every mod ive done, replace the sway bar end links, dtss eliminators, and the front tokico.
besides that, ive got everything i need.
ill be parting out my s5 soon, so, keep an eye out for that.
heres the shell

thinking about black on black on black. ill part out the blue interior, replace it with my black interior, rusto the car black, then get black wheels.

peace

total the car out and collect the insurance money to get the parts car painted. ask for a check instead of taking it to a recommended body shop. hope you had full coverage...

hahahahahahahaha, coverage, wtf is that? dude, i was paying 90$ a month, 0 coverage.
nah, that would be nice though. i got friends in the automotive field, plus one of the guys bailed me out of a junkyard and let me put it at his house till i strip it out and chop it up.
goal swap time = 2 weeks.

peace

Be careful when you swap the dash out. They are brittle as ****. I did that with my GTUs, swapped in the interior from my S5 GXL. I broke a few little plastic pieces. After the dash is out, the rest is cake. Good luck.

update:
chapter 2- the road to recovery
well, today was a very productive day, spent the morning with my wonderful fiance who is back in town from school in SD. you know, for someone how doesnt know a damned thing about cars, she did soooo much. finally got over to slpin's house to work on my car at about 12:30
my wonderful fiance prepped the interior for dash removal, carpet, door panels, lights, everything. it was incredible. i guess since shes 5'1 she fits well in that car. anyways, she did the whole interior (at least all the minor stuff) while i prepped the engine bay for powertrain removal and harness removal.
i got pretty much the entire car stripped out, minus the powertrain and suspension. the engine is almost ready to be taken out, have to unattach the alternator harness from the engine, and pull the body electrical.
after that, powertrain then suspension, then reassembly of the other car.
still got ALOT of work to do. oh, and omixeo, thats by far not the first rx7 or even any car in general that ive stripped out, its those damned euros you have to be careful of.
anyways, i will take pictures tomarrow, i didnt bring my camera today. so, cheers!
all in all, 5 hours and pretty much every important piece taken out in preperation for the big powertrain pull.

peace

finally snapped some pictures of the parts out of the old car and sitting in front of the new shell. i am stripping out the shell and am going to por-15 the engine bay. cant decide on what color though. i am thinking black, but the rest of the car is going to be black. help me pick a new color please.
here are the pics, check out the tokico and subframe lateral link.
i actually think the subframe itself is perfectly fine.

check out this new halfshaft. sooooo nice, the other one was new too, but sheered the end off :-(

light grey engine bay, not a show car right???

light grey, so you can spot leaks and stuff

powder coat the amrs and stuff while you can, outside the car, since it seems like you have another daily.

added it all up, i need ~900$ to get my car up and running.
1100$ for everything.
i only bought the car for 1g originally. whoever said "i now pronounce you man and 7, you may now kiss your paychecks goodbye" had it right.
