Color choices..

Ive got an 86 GXL painted gray I think it was called K8 im not sure... with the maroon interior (Love hate relationship). im planning on getting a new color. my plans are to go with a darker metallic gray or fords tuxedo black. anyone have input on it? oh yea I have gunmetal color XXR 527 that actually look awesome with the color I have now.

Go into any local bodyshop and ask to look at their color chip book. List of paint codes and samples to look at free of charge.

I find that Tornado Silver (k8) is the rarest stock FC color, and I like it the best! If the color looks awesome with your current rims, why paint it a different color? If trim is still black, I can send a few pictures of mine with color matched trim. It's not quite an s5, but it kind of makes the car feel less old looking.

Looks damn good as is. Maybe leave car same color and paint the wheels black? I mean, it's already sexy!

Yea funny thing about the wheels, I was going to get Matte Black but they didnt have the size in the color so i went with that color and it ended up being almost the same as my car.. I actually really like it they look black in the shade but gunmetal in the light.

and yes I will probably just do a respray to touch up the roof and some spots, but I dont know about the wheels yet maybe a chrome black would look legit.

Keep the K8. Tornado Silver and Claret Mica were the rare ones. I've owned both and let both go

It's a deep burgandy color, sort of like a wine red color. I have found that pictures do not do it justice, what so ever.

i love that color. i actually thought of painting my 7 a nice deep burgundy before but i was persuaded away from it. i don't think i've ever seen one that color. i have seen 3 that was probably that color originally but was repainted with a bad color match. they turned out more burgundy and not enough red. thanks Jerd
