I sold the CJ5 I was working on when I bought a Land Rover Discovery back towards the first of the year. Been wanting something else fun to tinker with and this little guy popped up at the auction last week.
It is in pretty nice shape (3 owner with a clean carfax), but still needs a little restoration here and there. All of the mechanicals are great except for the A/C and most of the cosmetics are nice. Next on the list is to have the new top installed, find a factory steering wheel in good shape, have the original paint buffed and waxed, and get the A/C working properly. Haven't been this excited about a car in a while!

They're two years old, as is the carpet. I have a HUGE pile or receipts that came with the car. They even took it back to Jim Ellis Mazda in Atlanta for a full tune up and clutch a couple of years back. I haven't seen one this nice in a long time. I'm quite excited about it.
I was high bidder at $1,100 but it did not meet reserve. We settled at $1,500 since it had an idling issue...turned out to be the intake pipe from the airbox to the throttle body was disconnected. Hooked it back up and it runs perfect.

Updates!
I found a nice factory steering wheel that is on the way and I got the A/C working, it's ice cold. I'm heading to the local upholstery shop tomorrow afternoon to see about getting the top installed. Once that's done, it's off to the paint shop for a proper buff and a few coats of wax.

Finally got the new top put on the RX7 and Darrell is bringing the old dull paint back to life.

I'm still trying to source a nice original steering wheel for it. The one I ordered turned out to be pretty rough. More updates later.
