2nd gen touge drivers
Wow. Colorodo... is amazing! I just started my new job at Les Schwab in Monroe so after a few months I will have my car drivable again. All I need is a couple tires for the rear, the threads are showing and the alignment is bad so it feels sloppy whenever I'm over 50. I have been hittin the touge for 6 years now but not much seat time. I have a video of my first time... I was very angry when I went for this drive and crashed lol and bone stock... lession learned.
Tyler [S5 FC], I think I just live in the wrong state.
TheAbsence, $30 camera, a .99 cent suction cup dent puller, and some electrical tape.

cant wait to get this frontmount and tune done so i can get a real feel for how my car handles and drives and learn the limits of it again since it blew. so i don't **** up like that dude, and be sick.
Want to learn your car's limits in a safe environment? Autocross my friend.
Well here I had bald tires. Just got the car, didn't get to know it that well. I got DTSS eliminators and a bunch of other suspension work done. Including a roll bar (if your a vert that is an absolute MUST when riding with top down.) I used to hit this road all the time but I stopped ever sence I decided to keep it off public roads. But yeah first thing first, learn your car. Spin it out on a closed road a couple times and learn your limits.

Hurleysurf had a thread on here a few years ago that illustrated the REAL reason why you need a roll bar when doing spirited driving in a vert.

Bringin this thread back with some google earth shots of my two favorite roads within ten minutes of my house.
Garden of the Gods Loop (One Way, Counterclockwise)

Gold Camp (Uphill; right to left, Downhill; left to right)

Best way, is to stiffin the chassis so you have less body roll. So the snap will be less severe, and practice drifting (even if you're anti-drifter) cuz it will teach you how to react in this exact situation over and over. Practice builds experience, experience prevents a little snap over steer, from totally wrecking your car.
yeah when I used to live in Williamsport, PA there was this pretty good road out there that was about 15 miles each way, had a few switch backs and hairpins in it, it was called skyline drive or something like that, I used to take my speed6 up there all the time, but it's probably a little too snowy for that this time of year.
