I'm from Colorado, I grew up on mountain passes, I can only find a few pics. But some pretty good ones, back in June there was about 75-100 of us that went up through Mt. Evans (North America's Highest Auto Road) It was amazing!

Here's my buddy Eric's car next to the sign, I wish I would've had this shot :-(

Here's all the rotaries coolin down.

My buddies Morris' show winning FD

And here we are gettin gas, about to hit up our mt. pass. Its at "The Garden of the Gods" It is so amazing, I mean there is no course in the world as good as this one... to bad it's illegal!

Oh yeah, and now for a story. In the last pic, you can see a silver honda in the backround (yes, with the blue lights) I know he's a ricer, but he doesn't know any better. He's totally a raver guy, who wears super baggy pants and loves glow sticking, and well, just being flashy. I luv the guy, so I can't hate on em. Anyways, he had that car for about two months, and is real competitive so he'd always try to keep up with me, but I warned him everytime, take it slow, learn the course, learn ur car, but he'd just push it so hard, it was crazy to watch. So anyways, that night, we went up and were makin some timed runs, and I had just ran a 2:28 which was 17sec faster than anyone than night, and Jon was runnin next, the last thing I said was, "take it easy, its not worth crashing, be careful" About 2 minutes later, I got a phone call from him, he was freakin out, and kept repeating he totalled his car!!!

So all 20 of us, drove down to find him, and when I got there it was horrible, this is my best friend, who is racing pretty much becase I do, rolled his car, was smashed so bad, it was now the size of a lotus. My heart dropped, I was so glad when I saw him standing. I mean, there was no way he should've walked away! I guess he tapped the curb at this high speed corner (I enter at about 75) and spun out, went off a 3 ft. revine, straight into a 3ft tall rock that flipped him over head first and landed back on the road on his side. Thak god for airbags, if that was my FC, I'd have been scooped up off the road! Minus minor back pains, he was fine.

Sorry long story, but thats the last pic of that car in good condition, I'll post the crashed pic later, its on the comp at my house.

judging from those pics, that touge looks amazing.
im glad to see theres at least a couple people who love the touge. i've been driving the touge since i had my learners permit lol. i used to have a really gay ff 1g eclipse and thats what i started in.
believe it or not, my dad is the one that took me to the touge i race on now for the first time. except after a couple times i started to get pretty fast and my parents tried to stop me from going haha. [i was only 15 and got my gas money from them so they had a little control. except i would say "i need gas money to go fill out applications" and then id go straight to LG haha]

LG is la grande which is the usual place we go. theres another one everybody calls pikes peak thats one way uphill then downhill its pretty crazy, i think everybody that i've been driving up there has either hit the guardrail, the ditch, or just plain went off the road. its pretty crazy.
btw im glad to hear your friend in the civic was ok. i've heard about way too many people that werent so lucky.

haha, I'm from Colorado Springs... Pikes Peak is in C. Springs! So I have the real thing, but they close the gates when they close the park, so no midnight runs on there. I do go to the Hill Climb every year, and one of my life goals is to build a car to race there. And oh, it'll happen.

We have tons of roads, we mainly go to the Garden of the Gods (google it, its awesome) and Gold Camp. Perfect short little runs. For dirt, off gold camp, there's "High Drive" which is sick! Then for long cruises the best is to go up highway 24 to Deckers, turn on 69 to Cripple Creek, and come back (About 4hr drive) And its amazing the whole time! Then Mt. Evans (North America's Highest Auto Road) was amazing as well!

what do you still gotta get done?
i ran my fc when it was completely stock, i was amazed with how balanced they are stock. didnt suffer from understeer or oversteer too bad.
the last few times i was able to run in the panda my alignment has been screwed and i have front and rear strut bars and some shitty suspension. im constantly fighting both understeer and oversteer but it was still fast, just very very unpredictable.

Yeah, every year they have "The Pikes Peak Hill Climb" But if I build a car it won't be my FC. You have to remember, 2/3s of the race is in dirt. I would really like to build an old 2.5 RS with an STI engine in it. I think it would own in the hill climb. i mean an FC would be tons of fun, but way more difficult, and very dangerous. There are some parts where the ledge is 300ft straight down, on hairpins, and people die almost every year. I've known two people who died racing the mountain. So I'm either goin FWD or AWD. If you do bring an FC, good luck and I'll be cheering you on for sure, and hopin you don't fly off a cliff!

Been doing it for about 3-4 years now. lol. Can't stop. Just started exploring with my mom's honda. I got into FC's from a friend and just got sucked into going back and tearing up the roads I used to cruise through.

Late night from around 12am so on... till the light rose with friends and mostly solo runs until recently. It is my drug for sure. I absolutely love the mountains. Hiking, driving, the aesthetics, etc. I love it.

Just a "little" contribution and teaser shots I guess... lol.
