Question Idle Problem

I have a 1988 Convertible, when I start up the car it idles fine, once I tap on the gas and the RPMs climb and start to fall again it goes past the idle RPM and the motor cuts itself. I sprayed around the engine with a starter fluid and RPM didn't fluctuate so I don't think there's anything wrong with vacuum lines, and as far as I can tell the engine is getting spark. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with mine after I installed a new intake. I’m pretty sure it’s a maf issue. When mine acts up I have to unplug the battery and plug it back in for it to work for a while. I think a tune would help you out there as far as a permanent solution goes
