So i blew the trans on my 87 Rx7 NA so i replaced a whole bunch of stuff like new trans new flywheel new clutch and a bunch of other stuff which shouldn't relate to my issue. its cranking but nothing. not even a little fire. started off of starting fluid so spark is there. brand new battery, fuel pump, fuel filter. spun cas while key/ign and i heard the injectors clicking the only thing i messed up on with this whole 2 months of it sitting is the battery where i accidentally swapped the cables but no fuse blew or anything. im lost and have no ideas also if it matters i just painted the engine bay and the engine. any help? also i know there are a million threads on this but none of them helped.

 

Have you checked to make sure it's not flooded?

Easiest way to do this is to unplug the fuel pump (or the fuel pump fuse).
