Car does not start

Hi all, I just bought a 1987 RX7 Turbo2 that has been sitting and not running for the past two years. The girl I bought it from said the last time it ran it ran perfectly and that all it needed was a battery. I bought a new battery and installed it, everything electrical works but the engine doesn't turn over. Any ideas of where to start? Thanks guys!

Are you saying the engine is frozen? Ran perfectly huh...so why did she park it for two years? And if all it needed was a battery, why didn't she put one in and get the car running to sell it?

If the car just sat for 2 years then you need new gasoline, new fuel filter and the fuel injectors need to be serviced to begin with.

I just got a 93 Rx7 that has been sitting for 10 years, after a good system flush all I needed to do was swap out the plugs and it started right up. I dont know if yours is the same situation but like I said flush out the bad gas, check your system for leaks, or dry rotted hoses, change the plugs and see if she will fire. Make sure you have a good battery also.

Suggestions

If nothing else has worked, I'd start by checking the starter and making sure everything is good there. Mine sat for three years and I've found a whole host of problems. Mainly from improper care and lack of mechanical competence on behalgood luck though man!f of the previous owner.
