So about a month ago a heater hose blew and I decided to change it, the radiator and rad hoses while I was at it. I have thoroughly bled the air from the system multiple times. Ever since my car has been losing coolant through the overflow as it will fill up, overflow, and not go back into my radiator. I have replaced the hose to the overflow from the rad and replaced both pressure caps. Is this a symptom of a bad thermostat? I got a new one and will replace it within this week but I really hope it’s not my coolant seals, there’s only 5k on this motor and I don’t smell any burning coolant or any smoke in the exhaust aside from some blue smoke after redline but it’s a very small amount. Coolant system leak will cause the overflow to puke coolant. Get a coolant system pressure tester from your auto parts store on loan; you probably have a loose clamp that is leaking air, not necessarily fluid.

Not only did I have this issue recently, but my car also had the overflow hose on the vent side of the overflow cap...finally after 7 years my car no longer pukes coolant!
