Coolant Pouring Out

Over the past 2 weeks my add coolant light has been coming on. I checked it every time but my coolant levels were fine, yesterday while driving though my tire popped (sidewall blew) and when i pulled over i noticed all of my coolant was pouring out of the bottom of my engine bay, it appears to be coming out of the the cross member the radiator sits on but that may be me hoping for the lesser of two evils ( coolant seals in the engine blowing) Any advice or am I right to presume its a cracked radiator hose? I will be taking it all apart tomorrow to get to the radiator hoses and check them for cracks.

Thats pretty close to the location of the overflow tube. Were you able to confirm if it was coming from that tube? The first thing I would do is exactly what you are planning on. Take it all apart and check for leaks. See if you can see any signs of where water as been.

Sadly, it could be any one of many components in the cooling system. The AST, radiator, radiator hoses, turbo coolant hoses, heater hoses...

The best approach is to replace every coolant hose and the radiator and AST if they haven't been replaced before. It's not cheap or easy but it could save your motor.

my car is stock everything. i pulled the ast so far, which has no leaks or broken nipple, im slowly getting to the radiator and hoses coming off of the engine. Ill be replacing all of those for sure. From what I was able to see while running the car on jacks it is a hose since coolant seems to be more profuse when i hit the gas peddle.

I am seriously tempted to park it in the garage and just wait until the winter when i do the engine rebuild.

Well you definitely should not run the engine when it's pouring coolant. It'll overheat faster than you'd think.

Well this may explain my check engine light popping up randomly at times. There is nothing connected to this tube and the workshop manual shows 2 tubes going downward but i cant locate where.
