The Barney Mobile - updated pics
It's back from the body shop ... not perfect, but getting there. Soon it will have an engine bay with only polished or powder coated parts, and be squeaky clean. Ooohhhhh! Just gotta pick out some rims now, those Work VS-SS's are tempting.

Yo,
Your FC looks sweet! For some reason I want some Alexander the Grape candy! *grin* I like different colored FC's, like Seth's CYM FC and your purple one. Are you going to use your FTP's or go with J-Spec FTP's? (Flash to Pass for all you lurkers.) Can you post a pic of those wheels you're interested in? I haven't heard/seen 'em. Thinks Volks Racing SE37K's!! *grin* Lookin' good!

Amazing!!!! You need to push her into the sunlight and take more pics. Ryan I wanted to ask you this for a while but it keeps slipping my mind. About a year ago (maybe 1 1/2) I came across a website for a purple FC named the Purple Piston Eater. Was that you?

Hey Boostd7,
Looks great. I've been eyeing up that border front end, and now seeing it on a car all painted...
I know you have a series 4, 87 right?, i wanted to know if you had any better side pictures of where the bumper meets the fender, for the change in molding, its hard to see in the one pic. It cant be that bad.

Yea, it's an 87 ... but I did get the 89 up rear bumper, mouldings, and side mirrors. Also, the body guy forgot to shave off the turn signal holes from the front bumper, I only told him like 10 times. So I'm just going to paint the turn signal lenses to match for now, then over the winter redo the nose.
I don't know what website you're talking about Sir, sounds interesting though ... another purple FC.
I'm going to take the stock FTP lenses and massage them. I'm going to cut the middle out and make them like the Miata's have, where it's a rounded smooth intake instead of just a hole. Since I have no headlights anymore, the air filter is going to be mounted right behind the passenger side FTP hole. I don't know if I'll make the drivers side one open or not.
Tomorrow I'll try and get some sun pics. With stock rims though it's kinda depressing ... here's those Work VS-SS's

Here are some outside pics ... I rolled it out and washed it up today. Those are the Mariah wide front fenders. They're about 1 1/4 inch wider than stock, they say you can fit 255's in front. They were worth the money... There's more work yet to be done, like:
Shave turn signal holes off nose
Mount 89-91 side mouldings and shave the turn signal holes off them
Straighten nose/hood up just a bit on the drivers side
Pick some side skirts to go with it
Get a wing like the Mazdaspeed GTC wing and make it work on a FC
Obviously, get some wheels - the last pic is a Photoshop job of the car with the wheels I want
You can see on the rear shot the 89-91 bumper, and where the 3rd brake light is shaved. I also shaved off the power antenna.

Thanks for the compliments ... that is the Corksport/Border nose. It's a nice piece, but still needs a little work to get it to line up right. You can see mine doesn't quite line up yet, but it will.
Now I've gotta pic some side skirts ... I don't like the Border ones all that much. Any ideas?
How do you all like those rims?

Dude that is a SWEET FC!!!! I got a question for ya. Where did you get your border front end, and is it durable at all? I am going to get it this winter if I can find out enough about it. Also mabye you will know does it fit on a 89 without and serious work with modifcations? Thanks!
Also the rims- They look nice I would say go with them!
