the cosmo auto handles the power great and goes
like mad, it shifts at the red line and will spin the wheels
when it goes for 2nd.
I bet you cant change gears and keep the boost up
I can hold the brake and gas at the same time to build
good boost off the line, launching as good if not better
than a manual trani. It's truly better than I thought it would be

Has anyone considered using a 'vette gearbox? I believe there is one above the LT-1? called something like a "SW8" ? apparently it's a 6-sp but when you disconnect the sensors to it, it has no protection against going into reverse (if you're concerned about that).

???
LT-1 was an engine from 1970, unless you want a Muncie 4-speed (not a bad idea, really) then it's not a good plan.
The LT1 from more recently is also an engine, not a transmission. In the Corvette it had a bulky, expensive ZF transmission, and in the Camabird it had a Borg-Warner T56.

Hell then just go for a Muncie M-22... straight cut gears, 2.2:1 First, 1:1 Fourth, and they could handle big-block torque and the synchros could handle 7000rpm shifts
