Rx3SP 20B HP Project street car

Rene built 20B project street car.

This is the story of a Rx3SP transformed to a 20B monster street car.
This project was started late december to be transplanted from a 13B
to 20B,not only a 20B but a really radical high powered (almost full race)setup for the
street. This project was suppose to stay secret but pictures got out and the demand
was given to see more of this project.I have no choice but to show and tell from
now on.Here hare some pictures of the first stages of the project. There will be more
pictures as the Rx3SP gets closer to the finishing stages. As of this moment the Rx3
project is 75% finish. To top this off this is about the 3rd week from the start of the
project and it is about 75% done.My goal is to finish before the end of this month,
that is starting it and tuning the 20B.

This has been my job as a fabricator for the last 10years,i started working on my cars
and learned from it and now it has been a job applying all i know from racing experience to the costumers.Let me know what you people think, hope i get some good feedback.

Looks like oversised studs?

Just curios, why not all of them?

What do the internals consist of? I'd like to know all of the pertinent details?

very nice work, I hope you have a good roll cage in that thing.

The engine is a B series block, big street port, modified oiling, stock 20B engine
rotors with 2mm ianetti seals.

Microtech LT12 series with individual coils system. All bosh injectors all around.
custom fuel rails primary and secondary.

The 2 stock bolts where left there because they are really big in diameter stock,
and the stock thread vs the oversize thread are really close in diameter so i took
the chance of not cross threading the 20B iron, they are two different threads.

Yes it is a Guru stud kit,But it takes alot of machine work to make them fit.
On the 20B there are about 5 extra long bolts that go through the entire
engine. You have the replace the stock short bolts.

Nice work. I like what you did with the elbow. Are you using the stock air temp sensor? Mind sharing your source for polishing? -Mine is a lazy bastard (me).

Yes i am using the stock air temp i left it on the bottom of the elbow so you can't
see it with all the bling.

There is a shop here local that does all the polishing for me,He polishes like a
a mirror,even on the cracks.

Do you have a resistance-temp curve for it?

We plan to use a ford 9" rear end with big disc brake setup.

The microtech system uses the stock mazda sensor to read the
air/water temp. The air temp sensor has a little wire with a resistor.

Here is an update the Rx3 is 95% finish, just some wiring and that is it!!!
Hope to start up tomorrow,Sat 27.

This project is a new personal record for me, a complete swap with all custom

It took me 2 months to complete my 20B on my car when i started from nothing.
