Running mid engine 20B cost
Hey guys I have been researching 20B's using porsche transmissions for a little bit now. I want a little over 500 HP at the crank. I hear 450 is possible with the stock twins and a boost controller. Is this true? I was thinking of a street port combined with the boost controller. Would this get me to my goal? If so about how much would I need to get it running with all of this. I know I should get a new ecu, rebuild kit, and boost controller. What else is needed to get it running?

Destin, you're friends with Niel, right? I've heard all about you from him and your car sounds like it's awesome. I look foreward to meeting you when you get out here.

This type of question has been posted before ; how much i need to do this or that , what do i need to run XXXhp.
The best answer for you is to research and find the best combination for yourself. Some things might work so others but not for you . The 20B is a Big Boy engine , it can spin a T51Kai or T88 with ease .. the stock twins would be good but it would limit the engine higher up in the rpm. Just a hint , the stock turbos don't have much efficiency after a bar of boost . What transmission are you going with ? the porsche's G50 ? you would been a new bellhouse , just to reminder
all in all , it is up to you on how and when your monster come out ...

Kennedy makes both an adapter and flywheel for mating the rotary engine to a Porsche transmission. You have to keep the flywheel counterweight from the automatic that was on the 20b though.
sehnsucht_musik: What car are you putting one in? 914? 911? Kit Car? What transmission were you thinking of? We had someone else recently ask for a friend about putting a 20b into a 914. Is this you?

My car is going to be a kit car soloracer. I am not sure which porsche transmission I was going to use, because I want to spend the least amount I can, but still have the tranny hold up under that amount of power. Yes I have contacted Kennedy engineering and that is what they provide. That isnt me, but I have seen that post before and read through it.
