20b with th400 or th350 trans

I am looking into getting information on running a th400 or th350 trans in my 93 rx7 20b. Recently broke the stock trans. It held 719whp 590tq tq for awhile (no launching lol). It is a track/street car. Any information anyone has on companies or people who would have knowlege or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I only know a few running the th350, but that is with 13b's not 20b's.

i never seen anyone run either of them to tell you the truth the supra guys do run them on the track cars i know the 350 is lighter but takes less power and 400 is a beast but its a heavy mother most american car guys use them before putting a glide in and theres a bunch of dif places that built them you can most def find one by you just do some homework in your area find a shop with a good rep

I run a super-comp from performance automatic inc. , full manual valvebody, with a transbrake... C4 ford tranny ..Im only at 500hp-400ish torque but this thing is CRAZY faster (acceleration) than my stock 5 speed

I actually have an extra bellhousing (from carribean transmissions, puerto rico custom made to fit mazda to C4) if ur intersted, i dont want much for it
Clever

If seen alot of rx7s and rotary powered cars run th400s on the track the only thing that sucks is trying to find an adaptor plate for them.

How did you go adapting it? Which flexplate and converter did you use?

freddy brown performance in new york had a custom convertor made. he is one of the only guys i know that does this for the rx7. we dropped off core th400 trans and stock rx7 flex plates and he built me a 1,200hp 1000 tq trans with trans brake and custom convertor. stock bell housing. definitely a tight fit though, lol
