New look:)
well the body work is done, all that's left is to clean the
inside out and it will be done for now.
the 20b is running much better now that it can get some
air to keep it cool, you like the little rotor touch to
the opening
btw there isn't a drop of fiber glass in
the creation of the nose. if you can guess where the
shape came from and how the nose was built you win a
prize
the speedo is now working, all i can say is, wow! i
cant say i have ever seen a 2nd gen speedo climb so
fast.

That sure is purdy. Let's see some engine pics. I'll take a crack at the nose. Was the influence from an actual Cosmo front end. Maybe put a Cosmo badge over the rotor shape. Hmmm...no fiberglass, how about paper mache'.

If it's not fiberglass or paper mache', then it must be a solid piece of mohaganny carved to fit. C'mon now, just tell us. Doesn't look like any rivets could have been used. Maybe you bonded the styrofoam to the inside and cut it out then layered it with resin????That must be it. Now what do I win?

no prize for you!
there is a right way to modify a plastic bumper cover,
and then there is fiberglass, plastic covers are made to
be very flexible, almost nothing will stick to the stuff,
fiberglass will stick but will start to come apart with
flex and movement. there are special glues that are
used to fix polymers on cars, this is what was used
along with parts cut off another bumper to get the
shape. it's allot of work to get right but when done
will last for a long time, or until i hit someone

I couldn't get that kind of rx8 part if i wanted to!
mazda canada SUX!!!
I have been trying to get some of the new parts
with some luck but the latest parts i want, mazda
canada are being a$$e$ about! I wanted to get some
part numbers for the rx8 trani and the crate engine/
or rebuilt block as well as the new 2 piece 2 mm apex
seals, they refuse to come through with anything

the 2 piece 2 mm seals they say are a new part that
will replace the old 3 piece seals and they will not sell
any to me until they sell off all the old stock, stupid
***** will not get it through their heads that the
new 2 piece seals are not replacing the 3 piece they are
an alternative to the old seal! still they refuse to sell
me the new ones until they sell all the old ones

I could go on and on about how mazda canada reps
don't know their *** from their elbow but i have already
gone on about this long enough.
and if anyone says "just get them from mazdacomp"
should have their head examined! mazdacomp prices for apex seals
suck! I can could sell apex seals for less then what they want!
On a positive note I drove the rx8 today

all i can say is my old 88 AE would wax its ***
lolnever the less i would love to have a rx8 it is a very
very nice car and i am sure it is going to sell great!

mazdacomp sells apex seals for about 35 to 37
dollars and i pay less than that in canadian dollars.
figure it out, you have to be nuts to buy out of the u.s.
with the exchange rate you would have to pay.
I have to put the pressure on the mazda folks!
