my manifold ,re-worked

ok guys here are some pics
you guys do remember how my manifold was right , with the 48mm gate
i did my best (space is tight ) but here is how it looks now

this would be my new gate

this would be the "improved" manifold

this would be the mummy

let me know what you guys think , i am currently sick at home so i cant put it on the car but, i will soon
keep in mind also i dind`t have much space to work with , kinda tight in my bay

Yes I see the difference "especially with you angling the wastegate opening upward first". This improvement should help your control issues.

The biggest difference and the one that would have the better result offcourse would be your choice of a 60mm vs 48mm wastegate.
Tial took too damm long to produce that thing. Was getting tired allready of supporting the HKS GT donation fund!

t-von ,yes that was actually stephs idea (zero -r) it does seem logical and i am not shure why i missed it the first time around building the damn thing , i guess i was in a hurry to finish the car

Jeff , dude you have no idea how long it took me to wrap that mufugger , it looked easy when i was about to do it but when i started i was like ?huh?.....how do i do this again

Cris....yeah man i was going to give the 48 mm a second chance ,but i was too late to cancell my order (it was already on the way) , when you compare the 60mm and the 48mm its rediculous , i am pretty confident that if i dont get rid of creep now , i wont get rid of it ever !!

Oh I hear what you're saying. I've been mentally preparing myself all day to begin wrapping these first thing tomorrow, assuming the weather is nice. I'm not doing it in the garage because I'm worried about fiberglass getting all over the place.

They say you're supposed to wet the wrap first to soften it up. Did you do that?

yeah you can do it dry or wet , but when you wet it a bit its slightly easier to work with , plus fiberglass wont be flying everywere (thats a big plus)
Supposedly when its put on wet, when drying it will slighty "shrink/crimp" making it sit tighter , i am not shure of this though
i did however wet my downpipe when i did this , the manifold i did dry .......if there is a differance you guys will be the first to know

So was it the bigger gate or the reworked manifold?

how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop ? the world may never know?

took the car out later today ,very bad tune ,A/F 15/16 under throttle but no boost and 10.7/10.9 under boost (need to hit the dyno)car spins all the way into third gear , just 10 pounds of boost

insane , car feels really fast ,boost holds stedy without a problem ,one thing though , boost seems to come on at about 3500/4000 k , not shure if thats right ,could be tunning
any thoughts

Yeah, it would probably be best for you to post videos of your car so we can drool... I mean, diagnose the problem.

I decided to do it wet. Wrapping the header was not fun but I'm glad I got it done first because the downpipe/center section was a lot easier. Fibers still went everywhere though. Up my sleeves.
