JSPEC 20B turbo engine..

go here and click on JSPEC Engines

http://www.corksport.com/rx7/3rxindex.html

I was looking at this site and saw that they had all kinds of engines for CHEAP, but they didnt have the 13B FD engine which kinda made me mad, but they do have a 20B turbo engine for $3999. The other engines, like the FC 13B was only about $950. Why is the 20B so much more? when i clicked on it and saw the pic, it said "3 Rotor" on the engine. Whats that about, and would that 20B fit in a FD?

It will fit... but not very easily. A few shops can do the conversion for more money than your car is worth... heh. I think Pettit and PFS do the conversions for like $40k+. Also, if you really wanted to do it, I think Jeff at Rotary Power in Gardena would be able to do it.

They do have a j-spec 3rd gen engine in stock. I went there myself and he said he has one. That was like a week ago, so I don't know if he sold it. He can get more, but it just takes a little time. My bro is buying a j-spec 13BT for his FC there. It's so cheap. It has everything, intercooler, turbo, clutch.

I went to PFS and saw the 3 Rotor car that was in Car and Driver, which almost beat the linginfelter turbo vette. PFS does one hell of a job too, and if Im not mistaken they have to cut away part of the firewall to get the damn thing to fit. I would definitly call PFS if your thinkin about it. And yes it is expensive.

Where's PFS and what's the number? Also where's Gardena and the number? I'm new into the rotary field, but the guys at Rotorsport Racing said that it would be around 20k to do it. They have 20b parts sitting all over. I know one thing, the one he has haul ***.

I am in Ohio, and can do the 20B conversion at my shop, if you want to take it there, but that is a FAR drive haha.

I've done a FC 20B swap before.. Its not too bad.. But is not something as easy as other makes have it for there swaps.

You will also want to go with a standalone.. The hardest part is the front swaybar.

If you are serious pm me and i can give you some pointers.

It's all about supply and demand my friend. There were only about 4000 20b's produced for the Cosmo. Thats why they are expensive used. Imagine the cost if they were produced in mass like the LT1
