Any interest in a 20B oil pan brace kit?

I am in the process of building our 20B FD and have decided to lay out a pan brace for our car. If there is interest I will make a larger lot of them and add them to our website. The brace would be similar to our others, just longer obviously

Front covers are usually changed to fit whatever car it's going in. I can think of three potential models right now; fd, stock20B/2nd gen (I think they're the same shape and bolt pattern), and lastly '85 and older. I intalled an '84 12A front cover on mine for example.

Since using the FD front cover with the 20B oil pan is a gigantic leak waiting to happen, we would not bother with that application, and the FB install is so far and few between that one is out also. This would be for the FC/20b front cover application only.

That actually sounds good. It is the most popular install and is the most profitable in my opinion.

I think someone already sells one, can't remember who tho...

Once you make the print, it shouldnt be a big deal to have them cut out, so I'd say make a few. I'd take one, but only if it is super cheap, I work at a fab shop with a waterjet, so I could make my own for free if I wasnt so lazy...

I am not aware of anyone making this part. We are the ones making all the oil pan braces for the 12A and 13Bs. Let's see, "super cheap" depends on your definition, it is going to be more expensive then any of our other braces, considering it uses 1.5X more steel.

I wouldnt have thought the price of steel had anything to do with it... if youre paying more than $15 for the steel to make the whole thing you need a new supplier.

Obviously, it is not just the raw material cost. The machine time for the laser is increased, as well as the additional hardware, larger packaging, heavier shipping, etc etc. It is not going to be super expensive but it is not going to be super cheap.

The layout is done and the parts will be available in 3-4 weeks.
