3 Rotor dyno

My 3 rotor dyno

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just figured id post a vid of my 3 rotor dyno. Ended up making 544 hp@12 psi. pump gas.High boost numbers on c16 (25 psi) were not what i expected but my new gt47 should hopefully take care of that. The gt42 ran out of steam. Enjoy.

Nice. What are the specs on the 42R? Did you dyno it at 15-16psi?

yeah great tuner. we did go up to 25 psi. we never really shot for 15 or 16 psi. specs on turbo are gt 4202 t4 rear with 1.15 ar. the 47 will more than likely be t6 with 1.34

you should try swapping out just the turbine housing for the T6 footprint if you feel like you're running out of breath up top. I'm not proclaiming myself an expert at all, but I think you'll find alot more breath left than you thought with that change alone without having to sacrifice response by going for a bigger set of turbine and compressor wheels.

FWIW, I have the same turbo and have been playing around with the hotside setup. I started with a T6 1.15 and found the spool to be a bit sluggish. I swapped it for a 1.01 T6 and am much happier with it.

I spoke to Abel and Tialsports about turbine sizing. Both felt that a T4 would not be a limiting factor below 1000hp.

I have the same problem Chris does. I'd like a faster spool, and willing to compromise peak HP.
I'm really curious what your numbers were at 25 psi? (you can PM me if you don't want to post it)
I might be looking to swap for a setup just like yours.
Thanks for sharing the vid.

What A/R would you guys recommend for a streetported 20B with GT4202R (GT42RS) with Large TA45 Inlet w/ 5" V-band discharge instead of T04? Car will be driven occasionaly on street but mostly at local track and strip. 1.15, 1.28?

1.15 for street/strip.

1.28 for only a racecar.

nice! is that street ported???...Great numbers on low boost!! people probably dont believe your making that kind of power @ 12psi!!

my buddy has a built honda putting down 560hp at like 23-24psi and your almost doing it with half the boost

gotta love the 20b
