Coolant plugs

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has removed the heater core and isn't running coolant through the TB.

I was curious if anyone had found a nice clean solution to plugging the coolant nipple that used to go to the heater core, located beneath the oil filter pedestal as well as the one on top of the rear iron, on the passenger side pointing straight up. Presently I'm just using a small piece of hose with bolts in the end and some screw clamps. While effective, it's not the most elegant solution at all.

Is anyone running a tube to circulate the coolant from these locations to anywhere else? If so, where and why?

I'm asking because I was going through and tidying things up and doing minor reconfigurations on my setup and thought I'd see what everyone else was up to.

Thanks.

I tap the housing and use a plug. If you ever go this route just make sure and never use pipe thread. Pipe thread wil more than likely result in a crack housing. I use AN thread or just regular metric thread if you can fine the appropriate tap and bolt. The AN tap and plug is easier to find anyway.

That was the plan, but I wanted to wait for that approach until I was rebuilding just to make sure it was cleaned up nicely.

Thanks for the reply.
