Impressive, glad to see you hitting some goals.

On a side note:

What about using a 13B harness and adding a few extra injector & ignition wires?
There are a few pnp-ecu around. If you had that chance again, would you have gone that route?

thank you sir.

def not. when i was building my car i had a goal set in mind and i wasn't trying to experiment or cut corners anywhere specially when it comes down to the ECU, I've seen/heard too many nightmare stories about the ECU not working or not been compatible that i wanted something that would work and Microtech has been proven for years now so i ended up purchasing a LT-12 couple of months before the LT-16 came out and the guy ended up giving me a LT-16 for the same price .

i also looked at Motec but they were too expensive :/

I did go with those of those high end ecu's.. and after adding up the cost of the ecu and its upgrades + the cost of the milspec cabling, etc.. next round i'll use a pnp ecu (probably the aem series2) and new fd harness.

I just wouldn't look forward to re-running the same ground with a complete build of the engine loom. I did however buy a PDM to rid the car of relays and fuses.. maybe that left a sour taste regarding wiring? :-)

Can you expand on this?

I dont know that there are any ECU's out there that could honestly be considered "cutting corner" unless it was the PFC or MegaSquirt type junk.
Most of those looms / flying leads provided are cheap and considered "cutting corners". You surely couldn't run 3 1600cc ford/bosch injectors at peak duty cycle for too long on 20awg or smaller wiring for too long without it burning up given the quality of wire provided.

In terms of compatibility - what were you looking for specifically that MircoTec provides that the other companies do not?

I am pretty shure the main or at least one of the main reasons to go microtech is that ,most guys running 20B's have been using them (including me) so it has been proven on many occasions , plus giving that specific product a lot of "backup" or feedback if you would
I mean in my case i was like , what is everybody using ?....microtech , ok then lets get microtech , after spending a lot of money on youre engine you would want the easiest going ECU yuo can get that is guaranteed to work without fuss , and if you can save a couple of bucks why not ?
At least that was my experience with it

Also 1BAD20B ...Badass bro ....nice congrats !!!
