Thats all you need is to call a locksmith, show him your id and title to the vehicle and he will make new keys for you. rx7doctor

For my and all my friends cars almost all the FB keys fit. Find another FB thats a perfect fit and make a copy. Its cheeper that way if you got RX-7 buddies.

If you've got any friends with 1st gens, they can unlock your doors. And, if they're close enough in VIN #'s, start your car.

Ask me how I know...

Also, my SUBARU key can unlock my 7's door. I forgot about the fact that when I had a few 7's I could use the same key in them. My bad.

Yep, the FB keys seem to be universal, I have an '82 and my roomates SE keys work on my car even ignition, as do mine on his.

My friend's 97 Saturn SC2 unlocked my car when I had locked my keys in the car.

There is a key code on the lock cylinder on either the passenger or driver's door. You can take that to the locksmith. The VIN doesn't work on these older cars.

There is more information on this forum which can be found by doing a search.
