Yet another won't start thread?
so now the car wont start! killed the battery, changed it, changed the plugs... nothing! it sounds diferent now, when its trying to turnover, its like one solid noise.... if that makes any sense... i dont understd its been running great!!!!!

You flooded it, which causes you to lose compression (hence the weird sound). To get it started again, just grab a can of Seafoam and dump a couple of ounces down the small barrels of the carb. She should fire right up after that...

You may not be getting fuel either. I've had that happen with my FB with clogged jets. I would deflood it, clean the plugs, a little seafoam and it still sounded like it had no compression. Realised I wasn;t getting fuel thru the jets. Sprayed the **** out of them with carb cleaner and it slowly started to try and turn over. Then it finally started and ran fine after that

Being I work from the begining I'll ask a question. Is the starter engaging the flywheel & rotating the motor? Or is the starter just whurling without engaging the flywheel?

i thought that as well..... but i ran to the store.. bought rotor and cap, and a coil.... well came back got the car to start... but still only leading.. but at least it started... the distributor cap had a huge crack that i didnt notice...
