They are very nice products, alot of time and money went into making them. It was a shame that they didnt go over.
FB owners are CHEAP ****'s Everyone said "Oh yeah make this and I will get it" Then when the time rolls around to fork out the cash, its a different story
Why isnt he a vendor on here? He didnt want to pay the outrageous fees of IB?

If an FB owner can afford that hood, he's either never seen an FC / FD / FE or he's too cheap to buy either the hood or the FD / FE I'm in the too cheap category for now.

i think the main problem would be price to weight ratio. i really dont think that a cf hood would be that much of a weight savings from a stock fb hood. they dont weigh that much.

The weave can be oriented to maximize strength in certain directions and it can be layered to increase the thickness exactly where it's needed -- something sheet metals aren't as good at.
Something to remember is that most aftermarket CF hoods aren't totally CF. The hood inner (or bracing, or ribs, or whatever you want to call it) is usually fiberglass. In some cases, even the hood outer is mostly FG, with a CF skin to give it the look. This is done to keep the cost down.
I have a fiberglass hood from Fibremaz, and its a lot lighter than the OEM one. A CF one would be lighter still.

I would like to see the CF hood on a first gen. I just don't think it would look as good as an FD with a CF hood. Maybe it's just me, or the fact that I haven't seen one installed. How much was he asking anyway? Just curious.

I agree, because the hood stops at the headlights/nose panel on the FB it is a smaller look and I dont believe it looks good on an FB. FC/FD hoods are a little better from what I've seen in CF. Atleast on the FC hood the nose panel is part of the hood and not separated.

They just don't get it. The 1st gen is the best and perfect design. And should have the same toys as the other cars.
If it's not high HP they think it's not good enough for some CF or fancy wheels.
