Sounds like you are getting fuel to your injectors. The other two things you need for the engine to run are spark and compression. I would check to make sure the you are getting spark at the plugs. Just pull the plugs one at a time, hook them up to the wire and crank the engine looking for a good spark. If you do not have a spark at all four plugs you have found the reason for not starting. If you do have spark then you know that you do not have adequate compression. If your compression is low you can try putting some oil, MMO, or ATF (take your pick) into each rotor and try starting.

Good Luck!

OK first thing..... turn the car over for about 30 seconds. Take the top left spark plug out to check and make sure it is getting fuel that far. After all you have done you shouldnt have a problem there. If it is getting fuel go ahead and replace the spark plugs with Clean NGKs. Now no one seems to recommend this and I am not sure why?!?!?..... Take the car to a straight road, have two people here, one needs to sit in the car and have the clutch down and the car in 2nd gear. The other should push untill a full sprint. Once he lets go of the car pop the clutch. When r0taries sit for any period of time they loose compression. The apex seals stick up and allows that camber to loose compression which in return will not allow the car to start by just crancking it. By poping the clutch in 2nd gear it gets the car going in a functional movement which in many cases will allow the car to start. You might have to push it a few times but if you have to push more than three times you need to check the ignition system, or put a little bit of MMO in the two leading spark plug holes, which would be a whole other write up. Hope this works......once you stop laughing give it a go... it "can not" hurt anything.... keep us posted an SE is nothing we want to see no running!!!

Keep r0tating,
Mike

I hope the apex seals didn't freeze up, and then you tried to start it, shattering them. Carbon lock is a very bad thing.

hello guys,
thank you to all the people who response to this situation.ok. this is the scoop,I change the spark plug along with new rotor, still nothing, the funny think is, I can smell gas at all, somebody mention something about fuel regulator or flapper door, which I got no clue what they talk about.I.m going to try mike advice, pulling the spark plug one at the time to see if there is any juice, but if that does't work what should I do next.I have 1 more question for lovintha7,what do you mean about bad thing if carbon lock, how can I unlocked?

First i used desiel fuel flooded the engine with it. Then i let it sit for a day, then cranked it dry and I dumped a bit of weed eater gas down the carb started right up after that. The desiel fuel wont harm any thing but it penitrates rusty parts quicker than regular oil. and the weed eater fuel will make up for a possible bad omp can't hurt . Just my .02

Okay,

First of all, the factory service manual (FSM) can be found at:

http://www.wankel.net/~krwright/cars/rx7/85_manual.html

I would look at sections 4b (emissions) and section 50 (wiring) first. The files are big, so they might take a while to download. The FSM is quite helpful and is worth the time to download.

First off, I would check to see if you are getting spark to all four plugs.

If you are not getting fuel, there is a few likely causes.

First, make sure that there is a blue spade terminal connected the the negative lead on the trailing coil (the coil closest to the front of the car). The computer uses this signal to tell the injectors to fire.

Second, make sure that your fuel pump is running. Turn the key to the 'ON' position and do not start. Go to the engine bay and remove the air cleaner (the box on the front passenger side). There is a rectangular opening in the bottom. If you feel down there the is a spring loaded door. This is the flapper door that you mentioned earlier. The door should open with some resistance and close completely when released. If you push the door open with the key on you should here the sound of the fuel pump running as well as hearing the fuel flowing through the lines.

Third, the computer or injectors may not be getting power. Check the fusible links on the drivers side strut tower in the engine bay. There are two groups ( one with three wires and one with two wires). The block with two wires is responsible for powering the injectors and computer.

Let us know how these tests turn out and we can go from there.

Kent
