Wiring question
I believe that is the one coming from the ignition switch.
If it is a smaller one like 14 gauge wire that would be it.
The other two will be larger wire like 6 or 8 guage and will be power and ground.

well on my car from the ignition switch you have black/red stripe, white/red stripe, blue, black/yellow stripe, black/white stripe. blue is fuel pump on my car. black/red stripe goes to the starter. white/red stripe is the main from the "battery", black/white and black/yellow go to the fuse box. my point is that my car is an 84 gsl-se. if you need that kinda help, better you state your car year and model

I have an 85 GS that the fuel pump is not getting power to. I have replaced the fuse that was indeed blown. There is no power to the fuel pump, fuel pump does work when hot wired. Any ideas on how to trace where the wire may have broke connection?

However, now that I kinda feel like being a smart ***, so I'll help ya out a little. You need go bust out that ohm meter and track down that wire boy!

WHen are you checking power to the pump? Theres a relay that only allows the pump to operate during cranking, and after the engine is running. You cant check it with just turning the key on.

Your carb float bowls may be full of water. You may have to drain the bowls. Theres plugs on the sides of the bowls. Or take the top off the carb and get the water out that way.
Go to http://clanheston.shim.net/ and click on Rx7 Info & Downloads. There you will find a 1982 Wiring diagram in PDF format. It's 28MB but worth the download.
Hope it helps,

Well thanks for put pointing out that I was in the wrong twice in one thread. From the topic of the thread of "Wiring Question" I didnt really see a problem in posting what I call a wiring problem. What really made me post here was the post by 13b4port talking about the ignition switch, which is where I think my problem may lie. I thought this thread was mainly for all r0tary lovers to come if they are having a problem. I am not trying to cause problems just stating my side of the story on the Hijacking. May I ask where I should post this problem? Should I start a new post on this problem to get a better and accurate responce on my problem? Problem I'm having is Power not going to the fuel pump. I have searched over the Haynes Manual and tried to trace this wire back, seems the wire goes up into the dash and can't follow it any further. I know of the relay to make it only have power while the motor is turning over and I'm sure I can run a new wire. But I am an all Original man and would like to fix this problem up right. OHM meter? mind elaberating on that please?
Thanx,
Mike

The relay is under the dash. No need to run a new wire if the relay is good. Unplug the pump and hook a volt meter to the plug. Then read the voltage while cranking the engine.
An OHM meter checks for resistance in a circuit. If the circuit is open, there will be infinate reistance. If you use the ohm meter on the fuel pump wire, you can narrow down where there is a break in the wire. You MUST do this with the battery unplugged. Leave the battery in and you risk saying bye bye to that ohm meter
