Will it still Backfire???

If i remove the ratsnest will my car backfire. I want to remove it but if my car is gonna backfire like crazy i won't. Since all of the selenoids prevent it from backfiring to my understanding i woulfd think it would backfire like crazy if i removed all the emissions.

It shouldn't backfire any more than it did before you take all the emissions off. My SA has no real emissions controls to speak of and doesn't backfire at all.

Same here, just some light backfire on deceleration. Actually less backfire than with emissions crap. Plus, I can now easily remove the carb.

I just removed the rats nest on mine and I am running RB exhaust from headers to muffler and it doesn't backfire any more than it did to start with. The only time it backfires is if i decelerate quickly from a high rpm.
