Wierd Thud

Does anyone hear a light thud from your rear end when you hit a bump while going fast.

I think my struts are are bad, I want to go with some Tokico's, does anyone second this or does anyone incur this same problem?

Yup. Mine does the same thing. I have new rear shocks, too. I figure it's just the dynamics of a heavy rear end with a lightweight chassis.

Cheapies. They were 12.99 each at Schucks. I think they are Monroes. They did improve handling quite a bit, and they did help with the thud, but it still happens when I hit our speed bump just right.

Could it simply be the axle hitting the bump-stops? Old springs will be make that happen more often. I've got new Eibach's and mine doesn't thump unless I hit a bump REALLY hard.

That sounds reasonable. Mine has the stock springs, too.

my car used to thud over speed bumps... that's when I found out the wheel wells were rusted through around the leading arm mounts, causing the driveshaft to bottom out on the floor of the car... not good.... I fixed it though... nor more thud!
