What's this '83 LE worth?
In looking for a new project, I've come across this '83 LE:

I doesn't run well--seller states that front rotor has 60 psi and the rear 5 psi compression. It will start and run with much effort. Seller also claims that it drove well before being stored. He has some undisclosed spare parts.
I'm going to look at it this week. Any opinions of value?
Thanks,
Brad

no more than $300 - are you kidding?! I just bought my SE for $300 and the whole car looks much better than that thing. Of course I had to put a new motor in so now its a little monster. Slap $200 cash in his face and see what he says. If he says no then go $300. If he says no tell him he's nuts. I would never pay more than $1500 for a running first gen unless it was really sweet - you found a lemon.
200-350 is all I'd go. I think you could carefully and patiently wait to spend another 500 to 1000 for another car and be way ahead of the game if you plan on really making it nice. That one hasn't been loved in a long long time.
Interiors cost a bunch and there are lots of nice ones out there with good interiors and body and paint and running engines for 700 to 1350.
