im pretty much a turbo newbie and i was looking at a website and at the top it said "turbochargers & cartridges". what is the cartridge?

 

It is the center section with the turbine and compressor wheels. But without the compressor or turbine housing.
So if you had a turbo, and it had a bearing or seal go out and the housings where in good shape. you could just order a cartridge for a lower price and swap on your housings.

thanks randy.....i couldnt figure out what it was, at first i thought i had to buy the turbo assembly and the cartridge...know i know what it is...thanks again.
